Sadly, the time came for Rocky Sheep Company to sell the flock. Rocky and Carolyn raised a handspinning flock in the Longmont, Colorado area for eighteen years. In 2004 we decided it was time to move on to other things . Now we can look forward to winter mornings that we get up when we want and don't have to worry about feeding the sheep although we still miss all of those sweet little lambs running around in the spring.

In 1986 Carolyn and I decided to raise the Corriedale breed because of their exceptionally beautiful fleece. Carolyn loves to spin their wool and we enjoyed providing the finest quality wool to hand spinners. Our breeding standards dictated that our sheep have size and scale yet still have lustrous, soft wool that is highly valued by hand spinners. If you are a hand spinner and need any ideas on how you are going to use your wool, maybe a few examples of hand made items from our fleece will be inspiring. I still manufacture Sheep SuitsTM sheep covers that kept our wool exceptionally clean.
